THE PINK HOUSEBOAT

A REFRESHING PINK THING FOR REFRESHING-PINK-THING MOMENTS

This one is kind of like a mashup of the Pegu Club, a classic of the 1920s, and the spectacular Enzoni cocktail. But also it’s not – for instance, there are no grapes involved and no muddling is allowed.

We don’t really know what it is, other than powerfully refreshing and a specialist at highlighting the loads of California citrus we distilled Marin Coastal Gin with.  It’s probably a summer drink, but, then again, “summer” is kind of a loosely defined term around Sausalito, so maybe just enjoy it anytime, wherever you are.

Ingredients and Process

1.5 oz. Sausalito Liquor Co. Marin Coastal Gin

¾ oz. Aperol

¼ oz. Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur

¾ oz. lemon juice

½ oz. simple syrup (or slightly less of agave syrup)

Assemble all the ingredients in your Boston shaker, the big part.  Shake violently with two clutches of ice cubes for 20 seconds or until you fear frostbite on your fingertips.  Pour this maddeningly lovely pink concoction over fresh ice in a Collins glass (or whatever vessel speaks to you – red Solo cup?).  Garnish with a nice lemon peel.

Sit back on your summer deck and try not to polish off this bad boy in 30 seconds.

Time for a fresh bottle? We get it, this stuff goes down easy. Grab some more Marin Coastal Gin over in the Shop.
