Cousin Eddie’s Sausalito Moosenog (2024)

The moosenog is back. and this year it’s sleighing even harder.

Welcome to our annual festive tradition: a cocktail called Cousin Eddie’s Sausalito Moosenog, in honor of everyone’s favorite unwanted and unbathed cousin.

We whipped out our favorite (store-bought) eggnog and combined with the dream team of Unsinkable Bourbon and Unsinkable Chocolate Liqueur, making this year’s recipe richer, smoother, and downright jollier.

Shake it until your hands feel as frosty as a snowman’s, then strain into whatever glass says “holiday cheer” to you—bonus points if it has antlers. Whether you're rocking around the Christmas tree or hosting a Griswold-style holiday of attrition, this is the cocktail that’ll keep your spirits bright (and slightly buzzed).


Ingredients:

4 oz. Eggnog

1 oz. Unsinkable Chocolate Liqueur

1 oz. Unsinkable Bourbon

A whisper of ground nutmeg

 

Instructions:

Chill your service mooseware.

Add everything but the nutmeg to a cocktail shaker, add a bunch of ice, and go nuts on the thing. Shake it like a Polaroid picture, etc. and so forth. Shake those tins under your hands go numb.

Strain into your favorite seasonal glassware. It SHOULD be a proper moosenog glass, but we’re not keeping track of what you do (except for these persistent web cookies).

Dust with a faint whisper of ground nutmeg and proceed full ahead with the seasonal mirth.
